Measuring Your Mental Load
How to Right-Size Your Priorities, Write Your Own Definition of Rest, and Heal Your Relationship with Your To-Do List.
As women, we carry a lot on our teams, in our relationships, for our families, and more. For some, carrying the weight of extra responsibility is so ingrained in our personalities that we hardly think about it at all. We have mental load blindness.
Between work responsibilities, caregiving, emotional labor, relationships, leadership expectations, parenting, and the constant pressure to “hold it all together,” it can become difficult to separate what’s truly ours to carry from what we’ve simply become used to carrying over time.
Many high-achieving women are praised for being dependable, adaptable, and capable but underneath that competence, there’s often perfectionism, chronic overwhelm, difficulty resting, and a relationship with productivity that leaves very little room for recovery.
How can we begin to measure our mental load more honestly? By taking off the blindfold and taking a closer look at what’s tipping our mental scales.
Drawing from my experience as a family therapist, practice leader, and mental health educator, I help women reconnect with their own capacity and build healthier relationships with work, expectations, rest, and self-worth. “Measuring Your Mental Load” is designed to help participants bring invisible forms of labor into clearer focus while exploring practical tools for prioritization, boundary-setting, emotional sustainability, and self-awareness.
Whether delivered as a keynote, workshop, leadership session, or facilitated discussion, this offering is designed to help women move away from survival mode and toward a more grounded, supported, and sustainable way of living and leading. Together, we’ll create space for honest reflection, approachable conversation, and actionable strategies that participants can carry back into their everyday lives.
